CAFE--COLLAGE II taught by Darlene Sanders----THURSDAY, AUGUST 08, 2013 from 10-noon
The Collage Café held in June was so successful that we are going to continue to explore expressive collage art with a second session. CAFE-Creative Arts For Everyone is about our members sharing with members!
This time the goal will be to create Abstract Collages using ‘handmade’ and assorted papers as well as items you may already have.
The CAFÉ fee is $3 and in addition to this, there will be a materials fee of $3 totaling $6 to be paid at the beginning of the class. Please register by Monday, August 5.
PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING:
9” x 12” CANVAS BOARD or ILLUSTRATION BOARD
SCISSORS (if you also have decorative edged scissors, bring them)
Assorted PAPERS and any miscellaneous items you may wish to use. (Art/craft stores such as Michaels, sell interesting paper in the ‘Scrapbooking’ sections and you can find small sheets of ‘handmade’ and textured papers as well as mulberry paper in many colors.)
Other suggestions: Coffee filters, tissue paper, used dryer sheets, packing material, lightweight cardboard, construction paper, fabric, wallpaper scraps ---- wherever your imagination leads you. Think texture! AND, if you happen to have any unsuccessful watercolor paintings; these can also be used as collage material.
DO NOT GO OVERBOARD WITH QUANTITY SINCE WE WILL BE COMPLETING ONLY ONE ART PIECE IN THIS SESSION. In addition, a supplemental variety of materials will be on hand for your use.
