Marlene Boas Artist's Talk and Demonstration

Marlene Boas has an exhibit of her work, including several sculptures and many encaustic works, through the month of August at the McMurray Art League Studio and Gallery.

On Thursday, August 14 at 7:00 PM, join Marlene Boas for an engaging artist's talk exploring the history, techniques, and creative possibilities of encaustic painting — an ancient art form using molten beeswax, resin, and pigment. The session will include a live demonstration of preparing encaustic medium, layering and fusing wax, and incorporating mixed media. Attendees will gain insight into the artist’s process, inspirations, and the unique luminous qualities of encaustic art while exploring her solo show of encaustic paintings in the McMurray Art League Gallery.
